We suggest using the Japanese flash brew method to make Iced Coffee. This process utilizes a water to ice cube ratio that enables quicker results allowing you to brew the coffee hot and enjoy it cold. To use this method, you will need the following:

• Your Favorite Coffee Mug
• 15g of Ground Coffee Beans
• 75ml of Ice Cubes
• 175ml of Hot Water
• Coffee Dripper or Chemex
• Coffee Filters

How to make Iced Coffee using the Japanese Style Flash Brew Method?

Step 1. Begin to heat your water to around 195-205 degrees; being your optimal brew temperature.

Step 2. Prepare your Mug (or a Chemex) with 75ml worth of ice cubes and setup your coffee filter with your coffee grounds on the coffee dripper or top of the Chemex.

Step 3. When the hot water is ready, pour in a swirling motion over your grounds. For the best results, do this 3-4 times to allow for proper extraction of the coffee. By allowing some time between pours, you’ll allow for bloom to occur which allows CO2 to release and allows for enhanced flavors to shine.

Step 4. Serve this delicious coffee however you like. Feel free to add additional ice cubes as needed to keep it cool.
