Electric City Roasting’s Moka Java Coffee
Our Moka Java blend is a homage to our heritage as coffee traders and roasters. The ancient port of Mokha or Mocha located in Yemen represents one of the oldest sea ports in the world and coffee was one of its coveted commodities. Whereas “Java” represents coffee coming through the port of Java in the Indonesian Islands. Keeping with the port-to-port tradition of the world’s first well-known coffee blend, we aim to honor the trade relationships we’ve built across oceans and borders. Specialty Coffee has always been an international product. A core tenant of our philosophy is that great coffee cannot be produced without understanding and cooperation at all points of the supply chain. As for the coffee itself, the African component contributes floral, fruity sweetness and bright acidity, while the Indonesian component lends the region’s signature earthiness to create a dynamic taste profile. The Moka Java blend is a full-bodied dark roast that will brighten up your mornings, and maybe even inspire you to expand your next adventure.
